 The Borough of Little Silver has a
contract with the Borough of Red Bank for Animal Control services. If you need
to contact the Animal Control services, call (732) 530-2700. Office hours: 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. Monday-Friday If
you need Animal Control after hours, contact the Little Silver Police Department at (732) 747-5900.
Enforcement includes,
but not limited to the following: - Patrolling for stray domestic animals
- Investigations
into reports of attacks, abuse or sick animals
- Response
to public complaints concerning lost, stray, injured or nuisance domestic animals
- Issuing of summons for violations
- Enforcement of licensing domestic
pets
- Capture of stray domestic animals
Harboring
or feeding of stray animals is PROHIBITED If you feed or shelter a stray
animal, the responsibilty of the animal becomes yours and Animal Control will not respond.
If
a wild animal gets inside of your residence, Animal Control will not respond. Contact the Little Silver
Police Department and they will respond and attempt to assist you. If the animal doesn't get removed for whatever reason,
you need to contact a pest control service for removal.
If
a wild animal is sick or injured outside your residence, Animal Control will respond.
